Logline

For the second time in his life, Moses has fled from civil war to a Ugandan refugee camp plagued by food insecurity, poor access to education, child-headed households, and unrest. Now, he must step up to provide leadership and solutions, unknowing if they will ever be able to return home.

Synopsis

The film follows two main characters, Moses and Santos, who are brothers-in-law. Moses and his family live directly outside Pagirinya 1 refugee camp, and Santos and his family live inside it. The film follows these two pastors as they work to improve the lives of those in their community through food aid, orphan care, and education.

The film will explore themes of generational transition and empowerment of oppressed groups. Through biblical motifs, we will be led by Moses through the wilderness, see the passing of the baton to Joshua, Santos’ son, who will hopefully lead his people to their promised land.
